Super Japan Matsuri

20/05/2016-22/05/2016
Esplanade Theatres By The Bay
5PM-10PM
FREE
Enjoy an exciting night of traditional Japanese festival games and foods right by the bay.

Play authentic matsuri games like Shateki, Senbonbiki, Yoyo-tsuri and more. Plus, savour the taste of delicious festival foods including yaki-ika, takoyaki and okonomiyaki!

Super Japan Matsuri is part of the Esplanade’s new cultural festival - Super Japan - that shines the spotlight on the Land of the Rising Sun, with a 10-day showcase that immerses the audience in the arts, cultures and traditions unique to Japan. Ranging from the traditional to the contemporary, the popular to the progressive, as well as special collaborations between Singapore and Japanese artists, the programmes highlight the multitude of expressions that make this country so culturally diverse and fascinating at every turn.

As part of Super Japan, Esplanade celebrates some of the relationships that we have built with our Japanese artists and arts groups over the last 14 years. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Singapore.

Do Note the Group if there are any other events I missed out! (I tend to miss quite a few of those I'm not a regular attendee of!)
We're still alive, just real slow with updating the journal.

If you guys know of any arts-related events, big or small (even your school's, if it's public admission), tell us

And my apologies to those who had their submissions expire. Most of the admins are currently away and I had recently been busy so I've just been checking submissions once in a while. Feel free to re-submit for those that had expired. As a reminder, please read the gallery guide before submitting. Most common rejection reason is that you guys are submitting to inappropriate folders.
